The 2024/25 season was the most successful in the history of IFG Macclesfield FC. Across the development and shadow squads, our student-athletes delivered on the pitch, in the classroom and in their progression towards professional football.
A Historic Double
The U23 Shadow Youth Team completed a league and cup double — the most successful campaign ever recorded by IFG Macclesfield. It was a season defined by consistency, leadership and a genuine winning culture built throughout the programme.
Progression That Counts
Multiple students trained regularly with the Macclesfield FC first team, and several gained senior men's football experience on loan and in cup competition. This is the heart of the IFG model: a clear, visible route from the programme into competitive senior football.
With a new intake now arriving for 2025/26, the foundations are in place to build on the most successful season yet.
